My NCLEX Story: By Megan Lemke, LPN

My name is Megan Lemke and I have been a LPN for about seven months. I graduated from my Practical Nursing program at the beginning of May 2017 and took my NCLEX-PN at the end of June 2017. I am glad that I did not wait any longer as my nerves were getting to me.

The most beneficial study tool for me was the Kaplan-PN Premier book that I was able to purchase on Amazon for about $30.00. I read the entire book twice and the strategies that I learned from this book were extremely beneficial to me.  The strategies helped me narrow down almost every question to at least two answer choices. There were practice tests in the Kaplan book that really helped me. I also did many practice questions on my ATI account.

Although I felt like I had failed  the NCLEX, I was able to pass it on my first try.  I believe that both Kaplan  and ATI helped me to be successful on my NCLEX-PN. Therefore, I will not hesitate to use Kaplan book again when I take my NCLEX-RN in the near future.

Good luck.
