I have told my NCLEX success story many times to nursing students and I have chosen to share my story on this blog with anyone who may choose to read it and utilize the activities that worked for me.
I know that other nurses may have their own stories that are different from mine, and I welcome you to share your stories in the comment section.
My purpose for sharing my story is to help to provide relevant tools that may be beneficial to students who are preparing to take the NCLEX-PN or NCLEX-RN exam.
I want to let you know that I am mentioning the materials that I used to help prepare me for the NCLEX exams for information only and I am in no way asking you to purchase these items. I am not working for any of the companies that created, published, and sold the materials that I used to prepare myself for both the NCLEX-PN and the NCLEX-RN exams.
I started my nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). To prepare for my NCLEX-PN examination I utilized ATI assessments, modules, and tutorials. The nursing school that I attended had all students paid for ATI courses in the course tuition. I also used Kaplan NCLEX-PN book to help me learn strategies that helped me to correctly answered NCLEX type questions. With this preparation, I was successful in passing the NCLEX-PN exam on the first attempt. I believe that both ATI and Kaplan helped me to understand NCLEX type questions; however, ATI was instrumental in helping me with nursing concepts and content and Kaplan was beneficial to me in helping me with vital strategies that helped me to select the correct answers to the questions.
During my professional nursing training, I again utilized ATI assessments and the university that I attended had all student in the nursing program take Virtual ATI in which a Mastered prepared nurse was assigned to coach each student for the NCLEX-RN examination. I also used Kaplan NCLEX-RN book for strategies and was successful in passing the NCLEX-RN on the first attempt.
Based on my experience with using ATI and Kaplan, I freely recommend these products to anyone who may choose to use them when preparing for the NCLEX-PN or the NCLEX-RN examinations.
My intention here is not to compare products that are used in NCLEX exam preparations, instead I am simply sharing my NCLEX success story.
I must also add that I know people who have used only ATI and others that have only used Kaplan and they too have been successful in passing the NCLEX exams. Nevertheless, I personally believe that I needed to use both products to be successful in the NCLEX examinations.
Again, please feel free to share your own NCLEX success story in the comment section below.
